Until perhaps 10 years ago I was a heavy mutt user until… well, I don’t know, I became what exactly: Lazy? Spoiled? A manager?

Anyway, as I decided to become a bandwidth & UI Luddite again, I’ve set up mutt again. Since I’m not running my own mail infrastructure anymore (lazy, spoiled, manager) I’m only using Gmail for the time being. Taking care of my own security, I obviously have 2FA enabled - which is a slight headache when setting up a MUA.

So after some heavy Googling, I found the authoritative, proper working, pointers to how it’s done on the Interwebs.

I used [Kachowski] to create the config, and [KernelApps] to learn how to setup the app password. All works like charm, though I still need to figure out some stuff.
